Joe Biden Ends November Reelection Bid, Begins Quietly Delegating Presidential Authority To Other Governmental Agencies
With reelection off the table, Biden's quiet transfer of duties signals a shift in executive operations
On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was not accepting the nomination for Democratic Party nominee and endorsed his running mate, Kamala Harris, for President in the upcoming November election.
This development comes after much scrutiny and concern about Biden’s declining health over the recent months and on the heels of a disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump at the end of the June.
At the beginning of July, Biden delegated some of his functions and authority over to the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of Energy regarding the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
The July 9 memorandum is essentially tasking the Secretary of State, Secretary of Energy, and Secretary of Defense to ensure and guarantee that all of the guidelines, stipulations, and rules of the NDAA are followed stringently. Formerly, this was Biden’s responsibility.
In mid-July, on July 17, Biden was diagnosed with COVID and canceled all upcoming events.
On July 22, Biden again delegated more responsibility to the Secretary of State and Secretary of Treasury. This time, dealing with the “Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity for Ukrainians” act.
The act describes that it gives the President (now delegated to the Secretary of State and Treasury),”the authority to confiscate, liquidate, and transfer Russian sovereign assets…”
This memorandum tasks the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Treasury with overseeing the “compensation mechanism, in coordination with foreign partners including Ukraine…”. Formerly, focusing on Ukraine was Biden’s responsibility and an important movement and goal he championed as President since taking office in 2020.
Essentially, the memorandum details the seizure of Russian assets to compensate Ukraine. As of March 2024, the U.S.A. has given Ukraine $113.4 billion. When will it be enough? Now the President is delegating power to seize Russian assets to give to Ukraine when relations with Russia are already strained and tense.
Just this week, the Justice Department revealed that it located transcripts they previously refuted having of Biden’s conversation with a biographer that played a role in Biden’s handling of classified material before he was President.
Special counsel Robert Hur concluded in February that Biden is a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory”. However, prosecutors say that some of the conversations with the biographer on Biden’s memoirs contained classified information.
Since announcing he wouldn’t be running for reelection and endorsing Kamala Harris, Joe Biden has not made any public appearances. Tuesday morning, video was posted online showing Joe Biden getting assistance into his motorcade.
Less than a week after being diagnosed with COVID, there’s not a mask in sight in the video. Biden, the man helping him into the motorcade, and the man standing in front of the motorcade do not have masks nor do they put masks on at any point.
If you’re going to lie or deceive, it’s tantamount that you keep the story straight. What is really going on with Joe Biden? For years, we were told that masks were vital to stopping the spread of COVID and staying safe from the virus and, despite the close contact with others - not even Biden is wearing a mask.
Furthermore, yes - the delegation of authority and function has transpired under other Presidential administrations. The situation and timing, however, has never been so incredibly suspect and convenient.
Plainly, the American public deserves an explanation for the deception occurring right before our very eyes.
UPDATE: After days of not being seen in the public eye, Biden was seen boarding Air Force One earlier today, July 24, holding a mask in his hand but making no move to put it on.
