4 Tim Walz Scandals That Show Why He's Unfit for VP (You Probably Don't Know #4)
A close, no-nonsense analysis into the controversies surrounding Walz' record and experience
After Kamala Harris tapped Tim Walz, former Minnesota governor, as her VP pick early this week, when scrutinizing his record and experience - it doesn’t quite stack up to “Vice President” material…

It’s likely you’ve already read about Tim Walz and his curious case of “stolen valor”. In case you haven’t, what it comes down to, although Tim Walz served 24 years in the National Guard and served as the rank of Command Sergeant Major - he retired before his unit got deployed to Iraq.
Speaking to a crowd about gun control, Walz called to: “…make sure those weapons of war that I carried in war is the only place those weapons are at”.
However, Washington Post even points out that Walz never actually served in combat. 3 different National Guard colleagues that served with Walz are reportedly bitter about his departure as well - with his replacement as Commander Sergeant Major, Thomas Behrends saying of Tim:
I’ve used the term coward, I’ve used the term traitor, I’ve used the term deserter.
Walz is certainly stretching the truth and lying. Even Nancy Pelosi propagated this untruth, giving appreciation to Walz for his “service… on the battlefield”.

As governor of Minnesota, Walz hosted Imam Asad Zaman, a Muslim cleric, on five different occasions. Zaman celebrated Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel in 2023 and promoted a film that glorifies Hitler. On another occasion, Tim Walz spoke at an event in 2019 with a known antisemitic scholar who defended terrorism against Israel.
The mainstream media is labeling Walz as “America’s Dad” - a Midwest, folksy encapsulation of Americana - when in reality, he is radical and extreme. These connections are extremely problematic and are being given a free pass by the Establishment media.

Walz’ positions and stances as governor are also very concerning. A bill signed by Walz in April 2023 grants legal protection to children who travel to Minnesota for services like puberty blockers, reconstructive genital surgery, and hormone therapy.
Notably, the law also stops Minnesota courts from complying with arrests, subpoenas, or extraditions in relation to sex-change procedures for children - even if it may be a crime in another state.
Another bill, the “Take Pride Act”, went through many revisions, with early versions of the bill including a crossed-out section that removed anti-pedophile language.
The original version of the law detailed that “sexual orientation does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult”.
The new law, signed by Walz, removed this definition. Critics have since argued that the removal of this original language was vital to make sure pedophilia is not given any form of defense under the law by being classified as a “protected class”.
Something like sexual orientation, such as homosexuality or transsexuality, in some states - like Minnesota - is considered a protected class. By removing the definition, pedophilia would be counted within that.
Tim Walz espoused support in favor of young children changing their genders and young boys using the girls bathroom. Again, another instance of Walz holding extreme and radical beliefs.

Tim Walz has been blasted for another scandal that occurred while he was governor, a massive scheme of fraud involving COVID-19 that saw the Minnesota government get caught up into it. ABCNews reports that according to federal charges, at least 70 people were part of a criminal conspiracy that took advantage of federally-funded programs in Minnesota to illegally obtain more than $250 million.
The Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) concluded that Tim Walz’ administration “failed to act on warning signs” and that inadequate oversight led to massive fraud. The 70 people involved in the fraud used Feeding Our Future to take $250 million to their personal benefit. The funds were supposed to be used to feed low-income children but were stolen instead.
State officials claimed when the fraud was discovered, that they called the cops - however, this is untrue. 17 complaints were filed to the FBI with the Minnesota Department of Education, leading to the FBI notifiying the department that the FBI had received allegations that the top director of Feeding Our Future was getting kickbacks and the organization was not providing the meals they claimed to have served.
Of the scandal, Walz said:
There’s not a single state employee that was implicated in doing anything illegal
What Walz doesn’t understand is that he is working for the public and the public wants to know if anyone is being held accountable for this corruption. Walz has seemed to have forgotten he works for the people and not the bureaucrats.
The OLA also found that more than 40% of bonuses paid to front-line workers during the pandemic were either fradulent or unable to be verified as eligible. The OLA found dead people and applicants who never worked a front-line job received bonuses from the state.
Walz himself, and Kamala Harris, have taken to the classic Democrat tactic of “projection” - labeling their opposition, Donald Trump and JD Vance, as “weird”.
Maybe Tim and Kamala should take a minute to reflect on themselves. However, self-awareness doesn’t seem to be a strong suit of the Democrats so it’s more than likely a futile effort.
